Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Refine Officiating ("Refine," "we," "us," or "our"), a private video analysis and knowledge management platform for sports officials. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Refine provides sports officials and officiating organizations with tools for uploading, reviewing, and annotating game film; tagging and managing officiating crews; sharing video clips for training and evaluation; and accessing a searchable rules library. Access is by invitation only. We reserve the right to deny or revoke access at our discretion.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent. Notify us immediately at support@refineofficiating.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Access to certain features of Refine requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fees.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@refineofficiating.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If a payment fails, we reserve the right to suspend access until payment is resolved.

You agree to use Refine only for lawful purposes related to sports officiating. You may not:

You retain ownership of all video content and data you upload to Refine. By uploading content, you grant Refine a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your organization. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose outside of operating the platform.

6. Confidentiality

Game film, crew data, annotations, and clips shared within Refine are confidential. You agree not to distribute, publish, or share this content outside of the platform without the explicit permission of the uploading organization. Violations may result in immediate account termination.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination by contacting support@refineofficiating.com.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Refine is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for decisions made based on content reviewed on the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
